models:contribute

This grant covers models.register, models.unregister, providers.register, and providers.unregister. It does not let you call models.invoke. That grant does not let you register.

Register 1 to 100 models. Each id and name is at most 200 characters. At most one default true. One bad entry rejects the whole batch. Re-registering the same provider and model id updates the name and keeps the uuid.

If you omit provider, one eligible anchor you own is used. Zero anchors, or an account-login-only provider, fails. More than one anchor fails until you pass a uuid. The uuid must be one you own.

Success is registered, uuids, and defaultUuid when you set a default. A default fills the main role only when main is unset or free in both the global catalogue and the session. The first fill wins. A later default becomes a hint, not a replacement.

Unregister takes optional ids. Leave them out to remove every model you own. You cannot remove someone else models.

Register a provider with a name, an http or https endpoint, api_type openai or anthropic, and a key of at most 4096 characters. The same name updates the endpoint, the key, and the api type, and keeps the uuid, so you can rotate a key without rebinding models.

Success is a uuid. Unregister removes providers you own and every model anchored to them. The user cannot delete these providers from Settings. Uninstall can.
