General settings
Type /settings and open General. Each row is one switch. Enter edits the row you are on. These names are what the screen shows.
General is the list of switches for this conversation and this computer. Enter opens the one you are on.
A sample of the terminal. Nothing here is your conversation.
Session name. The name of this conversation. Same result as /rename.
Workdir. The folder this conversation is working in. Same idea as /cd.
Awareness. On, koma reads the project and keeps a short picture of it. Off, it skips that and does not spend a model call on it.
Harness. On, koma runs the extra safety check before it acts. Off, that check is skipped. Leave this on unless you have a reason to turn it off.
Allowed dirs. Other folders this conversation may use, beyond the one you started in. Same idea as /adddir. Ignored when Harness is off.
Short-send. On, koma sends a shorter packet of the conversation to the model. What you see on screen does not change.
Bash shorts. On, koma keeps a tidier log of commands it runs. On is the usual choice.
Coding autosave. This switch is for the desktop editor, not the terminal. Off means that editor saves only when you say so.
Internet mode. Simple or full. Same choice as /internet.
Web search. The search service. Built-in DuckDuckGo needs no key. Firecrawl, Tavily, and Exa ask for a key.
Mouse capture. Auto lets the wheel scroll the chat. Off leaves the wheel to your terminal, which helps when you want to drag-select text. On forces scroll capture.
Max turns. How many steps an extra assistant may take on one job. A higher number lets a helper keep going longer.
Max out tokens. How long a single reply is allowed to be. 0 means the usual large limit. Leave it alone unless a reply is being cut off, or you want shorter answers.
