Koma

create

Start a session in a folder.

cwd is an absolute path. model_id and policy can be left out. policy defaults to plan forbid and approval reject.

{
  "id": "1",
  "method": "create",
  "params": {
    "cwd": "/absolute/path/on/the/koma/machine",
    "model_id": "gpt-4.1",
    "policy": {
      "plan": "forbid",
      "approval": "reject"
    },
    "external_approvals": false
  }
}

The result is a state object, after the bind and the policy have succeeded.

A second bind on this process is invalid_state. An unknown model_id is not_found. approval default without external_approvals is invalid_request.

The shared error object has code, message, and delivery. delivery is not_sent or unknown. A rejected turn disposition is a result, described on the turns page.

Python

session = await client.create(
    "/absolute/path/on/the/koma/machine",
    model_id="gpt-4.1",
)
print(session.session_id)

TypeScript

const session = await client.create({
  cwd: "/absolute/path/on/the/koma/machine",
  model_id: "gpt-4.1",
});
console.log(session.sessionId);
